Providing Fuel for Retirement & Ministry

Providing Fuel for Retirement & Ministry

Ron and Cora Regier have experienced much of 2 Corinthians 9:6-11. They were involved in farming most of their life in the Henderson, Nebraska area. As they were planning to retire from farming at the end of 2011, they decided to have an auction to sell all of their farm machinery and shop equipment.

Before the auction, Ron and Cora gifted the machinery and equipment to a Charitable Remainder Trust. The Charitable Remainder Trust now provides them an income for the rest of their lives. After they have both passed away, the trust's assets will be transferred to an endowment in their name which will provide an ongoing income to a number of ministries God has called them to support.

Machinery and equipment that had "fueled" their livelihood and provided for their family will now provide "fuel" for their retirement. Ultimately, the funds will provide "fuel" for ministry forever.
