A Gift That Leaves A Legacy

David and Alyce Loewen will be remembered for a lifetime of caring and sharing. Alyce came from a large family. She was the middle child of 17 and knew the meaning of sharing from a very early age. David and Alyce always wanted to do something that would make an impact while honoring and serving the Lord. David and Alyce married later in life and didn't have any children of their own, so they poured their caring and sharing into brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and many others.

David farmed and Alyce worked in a variety of office related jobs in Hillsboro, many of which were Christian based. Alyce stated that, "she always liked working for a Christian organization." Because of their love for ministry and their desire to do something meaningful with their lives and money, David and Alyce worked with MB Foundation on their estate plan. They directed their entire estate to benefit their home Church, Parkview MB where they were actively involved, along with four other ministries that were important to them. This will allow the assets in their estate to be used to fund an endowment at MB Foundation. Because of the arrangements the couple made with their estate, they were able to leave a legacy and continue to make an impact. Even though the physical caring has stopped, the monetary sharing will continue until the Lord returns.
